Rider Profiles

Cody Marentette

Sporting the classic orange striped Harley Davidson leathers is 11 year old Cody Marentette of the Dukes Harley Davidson team. #112 finished 5th overall in 2009 racing in the Michigan District 14 dirt track series and is already off to a solid start in 2010. Cody prefers the loose cushion of the pea stone tracks so he will feel right at home at Thunderfest on two of the best groomed tracks in Ontario. Watch for Marentette to put on a show in the 85cc class.

Sponsors: Dukes Harley Davidson, Dunn Graphic and Design, B & J Trailers, CAM Racing, Mom and Dad.

2010 Goals: Race as hard as I can to be ready to ride my Yz250F later this year.

Jeff Green

The model citizen of the dirt track community over the years has been 39 year old Jeff Green. #20 is an active member of The Erie Ramblers Motorcycle Club and has dedicated a lot of his time towards making Thunderfest a hit year after year. Greener is also just as smooth as any of the riders here this weekend and is a great role model for the young Ramblers. The Wheatley Short Track has been Jeffs bread and butter over his career and he has as good a chance as any to finish atop the podium in the Senior Opens and Senior 450 classes.

Sponsors: Thunder Road Harley Davidson, Jack Smith Fuels, Louies Collision.

2010 Goals : To make it through in one piece.

Jesse Phibbs

Coming off a career best year in 2009 that saw Phibbs notch 9 wins and 21 podium finishes in 23 races, the Leamington rider has earned his first set of black and white number plates. The highlight of his 2009 season was a 1st place in the Senior Open class at Leamington in July where his Rotax 600 was dialed in. The 21 year old has already picked up his first career Pro win early on in 2010 and is looking for more down the stretch. Watch for #93 as he tries to compete with the best in the
Open Expert 450
and Expert 450 classes.

Sponsors: M Pearce Trucking, Clark Storage, Louies Collision, WD-40, AMSOIL, Vortex, SuperTrapp, Chapman Signs, Bartel Machine, Legends Honda.
2010
Goals: Have fun and learn from the best.

Cody Young

At just 19 years of age Cody Young of Ruthven Ontario has seen the ups and downs of the sport of dirt track. In 2008 Cody broke his back while removing several fence posts on the back straight at the Leamington Half-Mile but healed up and came back with a vengeance. In 2009 Cody picked up his first win and it came here at Thunderfest at the Wheatley Short Track where he has been known to dominate. Keep an eye out for #62 when he competes in the Junior Open and Junior 450 classes.

Sponsors:: Leamington Home Hardware.
2010 Goals: Win the Junior class.

Cody LeBoeuf

Lasalle’s own Cody LeBoeuf is a very promising young rider at just 13 years old.Cody seems to do nothing but win as he dominated the Youth class in 2008 bringing home the National #1 plate on his KX 125. Cody is currently trying to make the jump to the Novice class where the minimum displacement is 200cc.

2010 Goals: Have fun and go fast

Sponsors: Mom and Dad.

Chris LeBoeuf

The second half of the LeBoeuf Racing tandem is 13 year old Chris, also from Lasalle. #80 impressed a lot of people in 2008 as he rode his KTM SX 85 all the way to a National #1 plate to match his brothers’. Watch for this speedster in 2009 in the 85cc class as he looks to defend his title.

2010 Goals: Have fun and win.

Sponsors: Mom and Dad.

Brodie Buchan

11 year old Brodie Buchan #44 is trying his luck at Thunderfest this year as he will be chasing the checkered as a 3rd generation dirt track racer. The Wheatley boy has been riding for many years and continues to fine tune his skills at the Wheatley Short Track where he placed 3rd in the youth class at the 100 lapper last fall. Be sure to watch for the Brode-dawger in the 65 C.C. Class

Sponsors: Mom and Dad.

2010 Goals: Get a racing license to race in Leamington and Wheatley.

Jaxyn Lafeber

Another young dirt track prospect from Leamington is 8 year old Jaxyn Lafeber #14. Jax is one of Erie Ramblers newest young hot shot riders and has the right size frame to be a future contender. Watch for #14 in the 50cc class on his KTM.
